Leitch Performance Engines celebrated four years of business with  the continued winning success of several drivers on the race track in 2008.   Some of the drivers racing and winning with a Leitch Performance engine are as follows:

Scott McTeer – 2008 Points Champion in the Thunder Car Series at Sauble Speedway.  Scott pulled off an amazing 8 feature wins again this season and $800 in extra cash in LPE contingency money.  Scott was also a winner at the Grand Bend Speedway Thunder Car Invitational.

Andrew Reaume - Six wins including a 5 race win streak helped Andrew  win UMP Late Model Points championship at South Buxton Raceway for second year in a row.

Tyson Fiest -  NINE wins in GTD Sprints and the Season Points Winner.  Races mostly held at Mosport International Raceway, with dates in Shannonville & Calabogie Motorsports Parks as well.

Jeff Stewart - 2 Grisdale Late Model feature wins at Flamboro Speedway

Rob Clarke – the 2005 OSCAAR Champion – placed first at Sunset.  The popular OSCAAR driver left the series early in the season and will be racing APC Late Models next year

Brett Reaume - A win and the trophy for Most Sportsmanlike at South Buxton.

Doug Brown #10– 1st and 2nd place finishes in the Twin 50 Sportsmans Series at Mosport.  Increasing to five top 10 finishes this year in fewer races than last year but slipping to 18th overall in the second full season of NASCAR Canadian Tire Series.

Anthony Simone #95 placed 17th in driver standings in NASCAR Canadian Tire Series with one top 10 finish.  After switching to LPE power, Anthony had some very strong showings and just missed out to Jason White for Rookie of the Year honors.

Doug’s son Mitchell Brown recorded 3 wins and several top three finishes in Mini-Stocks at Ohsweken in his first year.

Kirk Hooker – the 2005 ALSTAR Super Series Champion, won the Autumn Colors Classic in Peterborough.  In 6 races at the Asphalt World Series at New Smyrna Speedway in Florida, Kirk had two top 5 finishes to finish 5th overall

Mother Nature - have to give her some recognition - she made her presence known with some tracks having as many as 7 or 8 rain outs during the season - let’s hope she goes on vacation next year!

Thanks to all racers for another great season!.
